LAWRENCE COOPER brings over 45 years of experience to the Firm, having primarily devoted his practice to the following areas: (i) real estate - all phases of land acquisition, sale, development and financing; zoning, subdivision and site plan applications; and negotiating and preparing all types of leases; (ii) litigation - representing clients in commercial, business and construction law litigation; (iii) business law - representation of business clients in matters relating to organization, and transactional matters such as contract negotiations and buy-sell agreements; (iv) probate and estate - estate planning, preparation of Wills, administration of decedents’ estates, and representing clients in Will contests; and (v) family law - representation of clients in matters relating to divorce, custody, prenuptial and post nuptial agreements.

Mr. Cooper was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude. He also earned his J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Cooper is a former Judge of the Municipal Court of the Township of Livingston, and served as President of the Essex County Municipal Court Judges’ Association. He is a member of the Real Estate Committee of the Essex County Bar Association and he is also a member of the Family Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
